With adding the additional extensions
.gz

you can read or write compressed files.Dirctories
Files are organized in- common files for all users and projects;
the path defaults to
/usr/muse
and can be set with environment variableMUSE
There are two subdirectories:-
$MUSE/lib
contains machine dependent code (example: plugins) -
$MUSE/share
contains machine independent code (example: wallpapers)

- common files for all projects of a user;
the path defaults to
$HOME
and can be set with environment variableMUSEHOME
- project specific files;
this files are stored in the the same directory as the primary project file (*.prj
)
